Heptacube is proud to present its new Web production : Feedamp!

Feedamp is a new kind of search engine aiming to analyze RSS feeds and Web media to deliver a fast and accurate estimation the mood associated with a product or brand.

What is it?

Ever wished that you could learn if a company or product was reliable or had bad reputation, or if a subject was generally talked about positively or negatively, all in one click? It is now possible with Feedamp.

What does it do?

Feedamp is a semantic analyzer for RSS feeds. It is designed to study and analyze the media impact of specific products or brands in RSS and digital news. The application is applying semantic indexing to Web content in order to analyze the signification of each word and to determine the overall mood of the page.

How does it work?

While the inner workings of the application are quite complex, you don’t need to know that to use Feedamp, as the user interface is simple and intuitive. The home page is very much straightforward: enter a keyword in the text field and click “Analyze”. Feedamp then scans its database for what you asked for and gives you results detailing the mood of the pages that speak of the desired keyword.

For each query, Feedamp returns ten results of pages that contain it. For each result, it displays the source URL and, most importantly, the average mood of the page, such as positive or negative, represented by a score from 1 to 10, 5 being average or neutral. The application also presents some of the words or phrases that have been used for the analysis and how they affected it.
